Broken Front t00th - Flipper
When front tooth is broken, and/or if it has to come out, Dr. Park can provide same-day implant solution. Taking broken tooth out and placing an implant in same day appointment. And temporary denture called flipper can be delivered same day.
A. Extraction
[Minimally-invasive Extraction]
Dr. Park is aiming for mimally-invasive approach, preserving bone and gum tissue as much as possible during the extraction procedure
B. Placing Implant
[Immediate Implant Placement]
After making sure patient is eligible for implant placement in the same day, Dr. Park will place the implant in the socket immediately. This procedure requires precise surgery and lots of experience in order to make it happen in right way.
C. Bone / Tissue Grafting
[Bone and Tissue Regeneration]
Since there is gap existing in the socket after implant placement, Dr. Park will place bone grafting materials and tissue membrane as needed, in order to minimize bone resorption and tissue dimension changes happening during healing period.
D. Flipper delivery
[Flipper Delivery]
Flipper will be delivered at the day of implant placement, ensuring patient doesn't have a day without front tooth.
* What is flipper?
It's a temporary, removable denture for single tooth missing. Usually made of acrylic ( or similar plastic material) has wings or clasps on neighboring teeth. Flipper is used temporarily during healing period mainly for maintaining esthetics.
[Final Crown Fabrication]
After bone healing period, which usually take 4-6 months after implant placement. We will take the impression of the crown, send it out to the lab, and finally we will get you final crown with stronger and esthetic material.
